Good Morning To You All

Well Good Morning Everyone. 
It is Sunday Morning, of course, and here in Sunny Southern California, it is still dark outside at 6:30am.  Looks like it's going to be another wonderful weather day, today.

I hope all of you are looking towards a very blessed day, in today.

Last night, at about 10:00pm, I received an email from David Wood to visit a video taping he had put together a few days earlier and streamed live on Utube for anyone and everyone, in the Empower Network system, to view.  (If you wish to view the video, you have to be a member of Empower Network and/or buy into the Blogging Platform called Blogging Beast. Anyways, during his presentation, he reminded me of something, I believe needs to be passed on to everyone, which is why I am taking the time this morning to share the message I got from his video.  His message was one which you hear all the time, when you buy into almost any internet business, so it was not so unique, as much as it was received at the right time, for me to take it in.

Well his message was about Goals.  He was recounting a conversation which was texted to him, during the live taping of this video, I was watching, where he was commenting on a person's desires and goals for her success bench-mark, when It  the message hit me.

Concerning Goals; I am know you have heard this a million times but, it bears enough truth to be brought back to the forefront occasionally.

When setting goals, be as specific as possible when programming them into your mind and committing to them.   Write a general draft of the goal, then break it down into more specific parts, and commit to each part individually. 

If you desire to make enough money to, say supplement your income:  Write down exactly how much that is, and commit to making that no matter what!  If you want to build a new home, write down the sensations you are looking to feel, to make that home yours.  Recount smells, furnishings, walls, the heights of the ceilings, the floor type.   (I know it sounds extreme, but it works._)

Now I have found that by just writing and committing to a general goal setting, is like having six vehicles in your driveway and telling your child to take the car and meet you at work.   Which Car?  Since you did not specify which car, you may be out in a construction zone, with debris flying, people backing equipment up without looking only to look back and see your child has driven the most expensive vehicle you own, and drove it to meet you. 

The human mind is a funny but miraculous tool.  When we are vague, it will try to accomplish what you want, but will almost always come up short of your expectations on delivery.   On the other side of that coin, being more specific and totally committing to what ever your desired goal is, your mind will map out all the needed steps, subconsciously, and deliver exactly as you wish provided you feed it, with recommitment and proper food for it to digest; meaning information required to achieve it's own bench marks.

Example:  If I were to train an Olympian and tell him/her that I want them to run as fast as the wind, and they have only six weeks to achieve this.  After informing that Athlete of my wish, then locking him/her up in a small apartment with no way to run or exercise, I am going to be disappointed to find he/she will be nursing shin-splints right out of the gate.  So, we have to keep in mind, that we have to feed and nourish our minds, and remind it of where we want to go..
